Version

One printer for the whole family, from first print to engineering parts. The QIDI Q2 is fully enclosed, filters the air and watches your print with an AI camera. That makes it our top pick for homes and classrooms where safety matters.

  • Cleaner, safer air: flame-retardant enclosed chamber and a 3-in-1 filter (G3 pre-filter, H12 HEPA, activated carbon) that captures 99.5% of dust and particles.
  • Perfect first layers, no fiddling: the nozzle itself is the levelling sensor, so the bed is levelled automatically before every print.
  • Catches failed prints: the 1080p AI camera spots "spaghetti" failures. Watch remotely or record a timelapse.
  • Grows with you: a 65 °C heated chamber and 370 °C hotend print ABS, ASA, nylon and carbon-fibre filaments without warping.

Product details

Designed for homes and classrooms

Multi-sensor closed-loop temperature control monitors the printer the whole time, and the chamber is built from flame-retardant materials. The Q2 is MET safety certified (recognised in the US and Canada).

Smooth, accurate prints

A full-metal CoreXY frame with a linear guide rail and a high-tooth-density 1.5GT belt reduce vibration, so walls come out smooth and parts fit together first time.

Smooth print surface from the QIDI Q2

Heated chamber up to 65 °C

Active chamber heating keeps the air warm and even. Layers of ABS and PC bond properly instead of cracking or lifting at the corners.

370 °C high-temperature hotend

A ceramic throat and dedicated heat-sink reduce clogs, and the hardened bimetal nozzle handles abrasive carbon- and glass-fibre filaments.

Perfect first layers, automatically

The nozzle itself is the levelling sensor. It measures the bed by contact before every print, so there's no offset to set and no manual levelling, whatever plate you use.

An AI camera that keeps watch

The built-in camera spots common failures such as "spaghetti", so you can stop a failed print early and save filament. Check on your print from your phone or make a timelapse.

Made for the EEMENTOR lessons

Every printed part in our lessons fits, from the sunflower and anemometer to the rain-gauge funnel (104 × 108 × 124 mm, our largest part). Download a lesson's STL file, slice it in QIDI Studio and send it to the printer over Wi-Fi or on a USB stick.

Printer only or Combo?

The Combo includes the QIDI BOX: a 4-slot unit that switches filament colours automatically, dries filament while you print (up to 65 °C) and warns you about tangles or an empty spool. Choose the Combo if you want multi-colour prints or need to keep PETG and nylon dry. You can also add a QIDI BOX later.

Which QIDI printer is right for you?

Model Print size Heated chamber AI camera & HEPA filter Best for
Q2C 270 × 270 × 256 mm Not heated Optional First printer at home; PLA and PETG lesson parts
Q2 270 × 270 × 256 mm 65 °C Yes Families and classrooms; safest all-rounder; ABS and nylon too
Plus 5 320 × 320 × 300 mm 65 °C Yes Schools and makerspaces; bigger parts or a full plate of class sets
Max 4 390 × 390 × 340 mm 65 °C Yes Labs and serious makers; largest prints, fastest speed

All four are fully enclosed, print PLA and PETG for every EEMENTOR lesson, and work with the QIDI BOX for multi-colour printing.

Delivery

Ships from QIDI's EU warehouse: 2–5 business days within the EU, 7–14 business days to other countries. If you order it together with kits, they arrive in separate parcels.

Outside the EU we ship the model for your country's mains voltage. Contact shop@eementor.co if you're unsure.

For use with adult supervision. The nozzle and bed get very hot during printing.

Frequently asked questions

How much space does the printer need?

The Q2 measures 402 × 438 × 494 mm on the outside (shipping box 480 × 520 × 585 mm). Leave some extra room at the back, sides and top so you can change filament easily and the printer stays well ventilated.

Can it print in more than one colour?

Yes, with the QIDI BOX multi-colour unit (included in the Combo). One BOX gives 4 colours; up to four BOXes can be chained for 16 colours or materials.

Which software do I use?

QIDI Studio (free) gives the best results with ready-made profiles. The printer runs Klipper firmware, so OrcaSlicer and PrusaSlicer also work. It accepts STL, OBJ, 3MF and STEP files.

How do I connect it?

Over Wi-Fi (2.4 or 5 GHz), Ethernet cable, or QIDI Cloud for remote monitoring. You can also print fully offline from a USB stick.

Can it print flexible filament (TPU)?

Yes. TPU with a hardness of 95A is recommended; very soft filaments (below 85A) may print less cleanly. QIDI's wiki has a step-by-step TPU guide.

How fast does it really print?

The toolhead moves at up to 600 mm/s. In practice, high-speed PLA and ABS print at around 300 mm/s, depending on the part and filament.
