What it is for
ThingSpeak, from MathWorks, is made for collecting data from sensors. Your ESP32 sends a reading with a simple web request, and ThingSpeak stores it in a channel and draws a chart of each field.
It is a great choice for science projects where you want to see how something changes over days or weeks, such as rainfall, temperature or light.
Channels can be private or public, so you can share your weather station with your class.
Tips
- The free plan accepts one update every 15 seconds; send every few minutes to be safe.
- Keep the Write API Key private.
- Use the export button to download your data as a CSV file for a spreadsheet.
