Open-Meteo weather API
Free weather forecasts for any place on Earth, with no account or key. Your ESP32 can read tomorrow's weather in one request.

What it is for
Open-Meteo collects forecasts from national weather services and shares them through a simple web API. You ask for a place (by latitude and longitude) and the values you want, and it answers with JSON that the ESP32 can read with the ArduinoJson library.
That opens up a whole family of projects: forecast dials, frost warnings for plants, umbrella reminders by the door and outdoor-sport traffic lights.
For non-commercial projects it is free and needs no registration.
Tips
- Paste the request into a browser first to see the answer.
- Ask only for the values you need; smaller answers are faster to read.
- Fetch a new forecast every 30 to 60 minutes; the weather doesn't change faster.
